Mark T. Stopa is a seasoned attorney with extensive trial experience, having appeared before all trial courts in Massachusetts and New Jersey, as well as various administrative bodies. He has also represented clients in both state and federal courts of appeal. Mr. Stopa is licensed to practice in the Federal District Courts of Massachusetts, New Jersey, and Washington, D.C., and has appeared in numerous courts across the country. He earned his Bachelor of Arts with honors from Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ, where he was involved in the National Political Science Honor Society and completed a prestigious Washington, D.C. honors internship. Mr. Stopa obtained his Juris Doctor from the New England School of Law in Boston, MA. During law school, he was recognized with multiple academic honors and was an active member of the moot court, mock trial, and appellate advocacy teams. He also contributed to various student and student/faculty committees. At graduation, he received the Arthur Winfield MacClean Founder's Award and was recognized in Who's Who Among American Law Students. Since his student days, Mr. Stopa has been a member of the American Bar Association and the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys. As a knowledgeable lawyer, Mr. Stopa has taught various courses and seminars aimed at both practicing attorneys and law students. He has addressed insurers on topics including coverage, claims handling, and litigation management, as well as real estate professionals regarding numerous related issues. Additionally, he has spoken to many academic, civic, and business groups about diverse legal matters. Mr. Stopa actively serves on the boards of several corporate and charitable organizations. He is affiliated with multiple professional organizations, including the Massachusetts Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the American Trial Lawyers Association, the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys, and the International Association of Special Investigation Units. Residing in Foxborough, Massachusetts with his wife Molly, Mr. Stopa is a devoted father to three daughters and two step-daughters and remains actively involved in various non-profit and civic organizations. In terms of bar and court admissions, he is esteemed among family law attorneys practicing in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit, and the State of New Jersey, U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, as well as Washington, D.C. in the District of Columbia Court of Appeals and the U.S. Tax Court. Mr. Stopa holds a J.D. from the New England School of Law, completed in 1985, and a B.A. from Rutgers University, achieved in 1977.

Morgan Brennan joined Stopa & Associates as an associate attorney in August 2024. A native of Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, Ms. Brennan earned her Bachelor of Arts in Criminology/Pre-Law from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2021, where she was also a member of Sigma Sigma Sigma National Sorority. Subsequently, she obtained her Juris Doctor from New England Law | Boston in 2024 and was admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in November 2024. Ms. Brennan's rigorous academic background, combined with her detail-oriented approach, positions her among the competent family law attorneys in Massachusetts. Her education and experience have equipped her with a solid foundation in legal research, advocacy, and litigation—key skills she applies to every case while focusing on the unique circumstances and goals of her clients. Patricia M. Hamilton joined Stopa & Associates in 1999 and subsequently opened an office in Boston, where she has become a respected figure among family law attorneys. She is now Of Counsel to the firm. Ms. Hamilton, a native of Scotch Plains, New Jersey, moved to Oklahoma after marrying, where both her children were born. Following her husband’s discharge from the United States Air Force, they relocated to Boston, and after several years, she returned to New Jersey. During her return, Ms. Hamilton earned her undergraduate degree from Kean University before completing her Juris Doctor at the New England School of Law in Boston, MA. As a knowledgeable lawyer in Massachusetts, Ms. Hamilton has two children and several grandchildren. Her areas of practice include divorce, family law, criminal defense, and serving as a Guardian ad Litem. Ms. Hamilton is admitted to the Massachusetts Bar since 1999 and is an active member of the Massachusetts Bar Association, the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys, and the Boston Bar Association.

Zachary Pitts joined Stopa & Associates as an associate attorney in August 2026, bringing his expertise in family law to the firm. A native of Lawrence, Kansas, Mr. Pitts earned his Juris Doctor from New England Law | Boston, where he was recognized on the Dean's List during his studies. While in law school, he gained valuable hands-on legal experience as a certified student attorney with Veterans Legal Services, assisting clients and honing his advocacy skills, which are essential for trial attorneys. Prior to law school, Mr. Pitts obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Pre-Law from the University of Wyoming. His solid academic background, coupled with practical legal experience, has equipped him with a robust foundation in legal research, writing, and client representation, making him a valuable asset among lawyers in Massachusetts. Veronica Medeiros joined Stopa & Associates, LLC as Office Manager in April 2026. A graduate of Stonehill College with a BS in Business Administration, she has specialized education in Human Resource Management, Management Information Systems, and Project Management. Veronica has proven to be a valuable asset at Stopa & Associates, LLC, where she works closely with family law attorneys and trial attorneys in Massachusetts. As a Notary Public, she provides essential services to all our clients. Veronica actively participates in webinars and continuing legal education courses in estate planning, estate administration, and real estate transactions to ensure she delivers the best service possible. She serves as a legal assistant to the firm’s attorneys, assisting with various tasks including formatting discovery requests and responses for attorney review, preparing general correspondence, streamlining client intake, billing, organizing client files, and managing the schedules for each attorney and staff member in the office. Additionally, she is the primary contact for all real estate and estate matters. Above all else, Veronica is often your first point of contact at Stopa & Associates, LLC. She is the friendly voice and familiar face for our clients, especially during difficult times. Her compassion for clients on a personal level enhances her dedication to providing the best service possible. Outside of work, Veronica enjoys maintaining a healthy work-life balance, spending quality time with her family and friends.
