MEET OUR TEAM

Mark T. Stopa has extensive trial experience and has appeared before all trial courts in Massachusetts and New Jersey, as well as a number of administrative bodies, and appeared in both state and federal courts of appeal. Mr. Stopa is also admitted to practice before the Federal District Courts of Massachusetts and New Jersey and Washington, D.C. and has appeared in a number of other courts across the country. Mr. Stopa received his Bachelor of Arts with honors from Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ where he was a member of the National Political Science Honor Society and developed and participated in a Washington, D.C. honors internship. He completed his Juris Doctor at New England School of Law, Boston, MA.

While in law school, Mr. Stopa received a number of academic honors and was a member of the local and national moot court, mock trial and appellate advocacy teams. He was appointed to serve on several student and student/faculty committees. At graduation, Mr. Stopa received the Arthur Winfield MacClean Founder's Award and was noted in Who's Who Among American Law Students. Since he was a student, Mr. Stopa has been a member of the American Bar Association and Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys.

As an attorney, Mr. Stopa has also taught in a number of settings, including courses and seminars for practicing attorneys and law students. He has spoken to insurers on issues relating to coverage, claims handling and investigation, litigation management and trial practice and to real estate professionals concerning a multitude of issues relating to their practice. He has also spoken to numerous academic, civic and business groups on various legal issues.

Mr. Stopa serves on the boards of directors for a number of corporate and charitable organizations. Mr. Stopa is a member of a number of professional organizations, including the Massachusetts Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the American Trial Lawyers Association, the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys and the International Association of Special Investigation Units. Mr. Stopa lives in Foxborough, Massachusetts with his wife Molly and has three daughters and two step-daughters. He is an active member of numerous non-profit and civic organizations.

Morgan Brennan joined Stopa & Associates as an associate attorney in August 2024.

A native of Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, Ms. Brennan earned her Bachelor of Arts in Criminology/Pre-Law from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2021, where she was a member of Sigma Sigma Sigma National Sorority. She went on to earn her Juris Doctor from New England Law | Boston in 2024 and was admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in November 2024.

Ms. Brennan brings a strong academic background and a thoughtful, detail-oriented approach to her legal practice. Her education and experience have provided her with a strong foundation in legal research, advocacy, and litigation, which she applies to each matter with a focus on understanding her clients’ individual circumstances and goals.

Patricia M. Hamilton joined Stopa & Associates in 1999 and subsequently opened an office in Boston.  She is now Of Counsel to the firm.

Ms. Hamilton is a native of Scotch Plains, New Jersey.  She left Scotch Plains when she married and moved to Oklahoma where both her children were born.  She moved to Boston after her husband was discharged from the United States Air Force where she remained for several years before returning to New Jersey.  Upon her return to New Jersey, she received her undergraduate degree from Kean University.  Ms. Hamilton completed her Juris Doctor at New England School of Law, Boston, MA.  Ms. Hamilton has two children and several grandchildren.

Zachary Pitts joined Stopa & Associates as an associate attorney in August 2026. 

A native of Lawrence, Kansas, Mr. Pitts earned his Juris Doctor from New England Law | Boston, where he was recognized on the Dean’s List during his studies. While in law school, he gained valuable hands-on legal experience through his work with Veterans Legal Services as a certified student attorney, assisting clients and developing practical advocacy skills.

Prior to attending law school, Mr. Pitts earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Pre-Law from the University of Wyoming. His academic background, combined with his practical legal experience, has given him a strong foundation in legal research, writing, advocacy, and client representation.

Veronica Medeiros joined Stopa & Associates, LLC as Office Manager in April 2026.  A graduate of Stonehill College with a BS in Business Administration. She has specialized education in Human Resource Management, Management Information Systems and Project Management. She has proven to be a valuable asset at Stopa & Associates, LLC.  

Veronica is a Notary Public and provides that service to all our clients.  Veronica actively participates in webinars and continuing legal education courses in the areas of estate planning, estate administration, and real estate transactions so that she may continue to provide the best service to our clients.

Veronica serves as a legal assistant to the firm’s attorneys with respect to their caseloads.  This includes but is not limited to formatting discovery requests and responses for attorney review, preparing general correspondence, streamlining client intake, billing, organizing client files, and managing the calendars for each attorney and staff member in the office. She is also the primary contact for all Real Estate and Estate matters.

Above all else, Veronica is often your first point of contact at Stopa & Associates, LLC.  Veronica is the friendly voice and familiar face for our clients who are often going through the most difficult time in their lives.  Her compassion for our clients on a personal level compliments her dedication to providing them the best service.

Outside of the firm, Veronica enjoys a healthy work - life balance, enjoying time with her family and friends.
